Important Waterways of India are:

NW-1: Ganga, Haldia to  Allahabad,   1620 KM,  declared in 1986

NW-2: Brahamputra, Dhubri to   Sadiya(Tinsukia Dist.),    891KM, declared in 1988.

NW-3: West Coast Canal,   Kerala. 205KM.

NW-4: Krishna and Godavari, Kakinda to Pondicherry,  1078KM,   declared  2008

NW-5: Brahmini and  Mahanadi,  588KM,  declared in 2008

NW-6: Barak river, Bahnga   to Lakhipur, 121KM, declared  in 2016

NW-7: Sunderbans and  Bangladesh
